One
of the main volunteers' tasks is providing connection between clients and the
community.
Hesed is a symbol of volunteering. The word "Hesed"
itself has many meanings. It is charity, and care, and any action made for the
sake of others without counting on profit. In other words, it is voluntary kind
deeds. And people who perform them gathered in late May in Almaty for Volunteers'
seminar.
Trainings,
lectures, and other lessons helped volunteers from 12 Hasadim to discover their
new capacities. People shared experience, remembered funny and sad stories, and
told each other about their clients.
And the main thing is
that the good deed performed by volunteers is revival of Yiddishkait. The community
lives a full life again!
