The first seminar for Middle Asia, Kazakhstan and Transcaucasia
participants of the project "Jewish Community Management" took
place in Almaty. The representatives from Community organizations of Azerbaidzhan,
Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan participated in it. The head of
the project Alexander Teper (Israel) presented the new computer program
to the Regional Coordinators and Information Sections staff and also to
the directors of Kazakhstani Jewish Community Centers.
Computer database "Jewish Public Institutions"
intends to use in Community Centers, big national libraries, Youth Clubs
etc. The program allows analyzing the work of study groups and clubs,
to table classes, to keep information about the participants of permanent
groups and single events, and to do many other things. And as a result
it helps to organize Community Center work in more effective way.
During the seminar the Coordinators of the Project and Program
users studied the aims of this database, strategy of data collection and
regulations of informational security. Database operators studied practiced
how to work with the program.
