March, 18th is a special day both for the Jewish community of a city of Almaty, and for all Republic Kazakhstan as a whole. It is birthday of the writer of world level Moris Simashko, whose name from last year is carried by national Jewish library.

The action devoted to this event has collected more than forty persons – outstanding figures of the Kazakhstan science and culture, students of KazNU, members of the Jewish community. The presentation of book «Russian prose of Kazakhstan» in which the author, managing branch of the world literature and international contacts, the senior lecturer Svetlana Ananeva has deeply analysed creativity of Morisa Simashko and its importance for the modern literature of Kazakhstan and the world literature as a whole has also taken place.

After a salutatory word of the Hesed and communal center director Inessa Chugajnova who noted importance of work made in library on preservation of memory of Moris Simashko, Svetlana Ananeva has shared a fragment from the work. As she noted warm and creative relations of library and Institute of the literature and art of a name of M.Auezov, and as huge merits of Association of Jewish organizations "Mitsva" on preservation of a cultural heritage of Moris Simashko.

Creativity of the writer, his uniqueness and value for the literature of Republic Kazakhstan and the world literature was underlined in performance of Doctor of Philology Alua Temirbolat.

The representative of Institute of the Russian literature Doctor of Philology Sergey Kibalnik noted both necessity of continuation of studying of creativity of Moris Simashko, and value of contemporary records which are kept carefully by the library bearing a name of the writer.

The library bearing a name of Moris Simashko, collects not only contemporary records, photos, audio- and videorecordings. The library not only carefully stores memory of the writer, and the archive about Moris Simashko already now exceeds even stored in the State archive to Republic Kazakhstan quantity

of archival materials. But besides, the library unites scientific and creative circles of a city of Almaty, Republics Kazakhstans, and even the CIS countries, being the center of research and studying of a heritage of Moris Simashko.
