The Jewish people celebrate Purim every year. The holiday essence doesn't change, however the creative approach makes another Purim not similar to others.

Traditional Purimshpiel involved the Jewish community of Almaty not only into holiday history, but also into world culture.

"Transposition" of known pictures, such as «the Portrait of the Cousin» by Salvadore Dali, «Blue dancers» by Edgar Degas, «Morning in the pine forest» by Ivan Shishkin and other masterpieces of world painting were presented as the story about Ester, tsar Ahashverosh and evil Aman. More than three hundred persons came to see it.

The holiday has begun with a salutatory word of the president of Association of the Jewish organizations of Republic Kazakhstan "Mitsva" Alexander Baron who has congratulated everybody and also the head of regional representation of JDC Ilana Levi who has noticed that «Purim is such holiday which allows us to have fun together».



And then pictures of the well-known artists "have revived" performed by participants of clubs at Hesed and the communal center: clubs «Day center», «Seven forty», family club "Shalom", children's, teenage and youth. Participants of clubs embodied plots with reference to a holiday of "Purim".

The result of long rehearsals has surpassed all expectations: both children, and youth, and elderly – all have acted brightly, with "highlight", keeping attention of a hall artistry and almost professional performance of the roles.

Yes, holidays repeat from year to year. But thanks to teamwork of all community, thanks to creative and not formal, but to the sincere approach, each holiday becomes event sometimes at all only communal, and city scale.
