The president of Association of Jewish organizations "Mitsva", the councilor of Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan Alexander Baron has visited opening of art photo-exhibition «The 1000 anniversary of Kiev Sophia Cathedral».

The photo-exhibition devoted to anniversary of the Cathedral of St. Sofia, was exhibited in September of last year at UNESCO headquarters. The architectural ensemble is entered in the list the world cultural heritage of UNESCO. The general Consul of Ukraine Lyudmila Protasova taking direct part in the organization of photo-exhibition, marks: «The photo-exhibition’s purpose is to acquaint inhabitants and visitors of Almaty with the basic stages of history of an architectural monument».

At the opening there were representatives of the State Archive of Republic Kazakhstan, and representatives of Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan. Opening of the exhibition which have embodied one of the pivotal historical and cultural monuments of Ukraine, is a symbol of friendship of all people living in territory of our country. Association "Mitsva" actively participates in joint actions of the national cultural centers, fruitfully cooperating with each of them.
