May 14, regional seminar on Jewish informal education finished to work.
Three days its participants were taught by the connoisseurs of traditions from Israel – Natalia Zitser and Rabbi Meir Shlezinger.
- The first purpose of this seminar, - Rabbi Meir Shlezinger speaks, - to extend knowledge of people engaged by Jewish education. The second - to give the people keys in order to make them easier to teach. And one more purpose is to collect the people who are engaged in Jewish informal education, and to share experience.
- I showed many different techniques, - Natalia Zitser tells, - Techniques of a different level, which do for work with small groups, with large one, with the teenagers, with a mixed audience. On the seminar there are people who are pleased with they do and it’s enough for them. And there are people for whom it isn’t enough, they need to study. The question “How” has arisen before them. How to keep Jewish traditions in community organizations today? How interest people come to us? This seminar should help to find the answers to these questions.
The representative of "Joint" Asi Kaniel, one of the organizers of the seminar, read lecture to the participants.
It was seminar I felt I am necessary for the community, - the director of Jewish Community Centre of Astana Dina Itkina shared her impressions, - And some techniques I shall try in our centre necessarily.
The teachers of traditions departed at home, and now their purpose - to practice received knowledge.
