On behalf of the Jewish community of Kazakhstan, the president of Association "Mitsva" Alexandr Baron transferred in gift to Iliysk country library 250 books. Among presented books are works of the Kazakhstan authors and world classics. Assembly of Nations of Kazakhstan, Republican corporate fund of ANK and Armenian cultural centre supported the action.

It is symbolical, that the gift was transferred to village library almost at once after the Jewish holiday Purim and right at the beginning of a holiday Nauryz, widely celebrated in Kazakhstan. According to traditions of both holidays, at this time it is accepted to make gifts, helping, those, who first of all needs support.

- Our people always appreciated the books. The books were stored and were preserved along with memory of the close, native and favourite people. Probably for this reason, one of the first projects realized by Association "Mitsva", was creation of Republican Jewish library - says Alexandr Baron  - For this reason on light days of a spring holiday we would like to share with you most expensive and to present you the books.

Located in 5 kilometres from Almaty, library is one of few informational-cultural centres of area. Among its constant visitors - are pupils, students, representatives of average generation, and also teenagers from the Jewish families living here. Totally library serves about 13 thousand inhabitants of Iliysk district.

On a holiday organized by administration of library in honour of transfer by Association "Mitsva" in its fund 250 new books, has come much of Iliyysk youth. There arrived the representatives of local and Almaty MASS-MEDIA. The gratitude to "Mitsva" Association and Assembly of Nations of Kazakhstan expressed the director of library Meiramkul Zhabiyeva. In its turn youth of the Armenian cultural centre has congratulated the readers of Iliysk library upon Nauryz and presented them a small concert.

The joint actions of Assembly of Nations of Kazakhstan and "Mitsva" Association for a long time became kind tradition. Due to this successful alliance some republican children's and youth creation competitions were held, the program "Tolerance - lessons of Holocaust", conducts work, pass exhibitions, lecture-halls, creative evenings. And always these undertakings in a consequence find the worthy adherents and partners. We hope, that the question of the help to village libraries actually requiring today for support, will find the supporters not only on behalf of ANK and Jewish community of Kazakhstan.
