Open Home Program - the "youngest" program of Hesed Faina
"was born" on 21 January 2001. That day 8 clients with limited mobility
were driven to Hesed.
Guests went to the library to see the books, watched videocassettes
with recent holiday records and knew about Ust-Kamenogorsk Jewish Community.
The clients enjoyed the performance of Hesed violin ensemble, Jewish song in
Russian, Hebrew and Yuddish. After the excursion the clients went to see their
doctor Marina Ibragimova, some of them visited hairdresser Khaim Vant (he is
a volunteer and a client).
At the end of the program they had lunch and communicated with
each other, they ate a cake, baked by Hesed cook and a stuffed pie.
Now meeting like that will be held constantly. One Sunday of each
month will be dedicated to Open Home clients.
