The program was established at the same time with Hesed and it's
present head Nadezhda Reznikova started working in it as a visiting nurse. That
time there were only 17 clients, and only she and two her colleagues were taking
care of them. Now they have 4.5 times more needy people, and there are about
20 visiting nurses working there. Somebody can spend the whole day looking after
a patient in a very serious condition; the others can visit several clients
a day. The clients find not only care and communication during their visits
but visiting nurses are their chance to contact with outwards things: with Jewish
organization of the city, with national traditions and culture of the people
of Israel.
 The
Home Care Program draws not only clients in Shymkent City but also in the other
cities of the oblast. Thus, in Lenger City there are two visiting nurses and
one works in Kentau City, one - in Sary-Agach City.
