Moked La-Kashish is a Program in private life. Clients in years
are often helpless to solve daily home problems.
They do not feel well living alone, sometimes it is beyond their
strength to get to a phone.
An iron or toilet is out of order, favorite book is falling into
pieces, or it's time to have a haircut.
The Moked Program was established especially for the service like
that. In Almaty we started from a little: a simple repair of sanitary engineering
and electrical devices, hairdresser's service.
We analyzed our client's requests and found out the minimum list of service
they need.
16 volunteers work today for "Moked La-Kashish" Program: an electrician,
a locksmith, a hairdresser, a manicurist-pedicurist, a specialist on electrical
devices, tonometers, a specialist in sharpening knives and scissors, a bookbinder
and a dressmaker. They work in Hesed and at our client's homes as well.
They clients can get a lawyer's consultation; they can call a taxi
to go to Hesed or polyclinics.
The program is for old, sick and lonely clients and they really
appreciate it. We are planning to extend our service: repair of furniture, TVs,
fridges, washing machines, and footwear.
