This section of Hesed specializes in physical rehabilitation of
Kazakhstani Jewish Community members.
It's well known that people's condition after injury, illness or
after age-specific changes, is determined not only by objective physiological
disorders, but also by how they feel about it.
Rehabilitation equipment for disabled people (wheel chairs, walkers,
handrails etc.) should help old people or people who have serious diseases and
injures. This equipment should help not only to overcome physiological disorders
but also should effect how other people treat them.
It's necessary to help people to understand that they can take
care of themselves. That's why every item of medical equipment should match
the specific requirements of a client and the place where he/she lives.
The
aim of the Program's employees is to customize medical equipment to meet the
needs of the individual requirements of the people who need help.
Rehabilitation Equipment Service is given to any Community member
independently of occupation, income, and participation in Hesed social activity.
Rehabilitation Equipment Unit employees train clients, relatives,
or the medical attendant looking after them, how to use this equipment.
Training is conducted in the Rehabilitation Equipment Unit or in
the client's home.
