The Jewish community of Kostanay met Purim at the covered table of the cafe. The meeting place has already become traditional, we are welcomed here. And how not to be joyful in this holiday of victory?
Following our tradition the Hesed director and the head of Jewish center of culture Peter Rubinshtein took the first word. The history of Purim was reminded by Alexander Guralsky. The carnival began after it. At first children started making the show. They played Purimshpiel with live music, cheerfully, with enthusiasm. Then all grown up people joined our children. To the Tsar Ahashveroshu was given a choice of cheerful brides – from twenty to eighty ten years old. And everything was fun with jokes and humourous catchphrases and dancing. Improvised Purimshpiel has caused interest of all the people in the hall, everybody participated it.
The holiday was done well thanks to enthusiasm of the invariable organizer Evgeny Parhomenko and certainly thanks to our musicians: saxophone, flute and guitar which sounded from beginning to end. Purim will be remembered by everybody for a long time.
