Holidays are a rear case when the whole community can be
gathered together. This year the Jewish community of Aktobe city has joined
to Jews the whole world to celebrate the sweetest holiday of the year -
Rosh-ha-Shannah. Many changes took place in our big Jewish family. "We
do not stand on one place, we always strive for the best," -
said the Hesed director Elena Untenko when congratulating the guests.
The festive mood was created by Jewish songs, passionate
dances, and kind smiles. All the twelve months of the Jewish calendar
told about themselves in a sketch prepared by children. Members of the
community congratulated each other and wished them to be written down
to the "Book of Life".
The day before the holiday Hesed "Sarah" got many
greeting cards from Jewish community centers of Kazakhstan. Jewish Centers
of Russia also wished Aktobe Sweet New Year. And Aktobe citizens that
currently live in Israel did not forget about their Hesed. We thank them
for it. Their letters are dear to the community.
Leaving the holiday everybody took a small part of the New
Year's mood, and we hope it will remain in people's souls for the whole
year. Shana Tova.
