The Chief Israeli Rabbi Bakshi Doron was on the visit to
Kazakhstan for two days. Alexander Mashkevich the President of Jewish
Eurasian Congress, the President of Jewish Congress of Kazakhstan, invited
him to visit Kazakhstan. The ceremonial welcome of the guest took place
on 3rd of July in the synagogue of the South Capital after evening pray
for all Jews on the Earth. The Chief Rabbi of Israel was welcomed by Yeshaya
Cohen the Chief Rabbi of Kazakhstan, Alexander Mashkevich and Israel Mei-Ami
the Israeli Ambassador in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
Addressing to the audience, the Rabbi Bakshi Doron expressed
his appreciation to Nursultan Nazarbayev, the President of Kazakhstan
for the sympathy and kindness to Kazakhstani Jews, wished everybody piece,
happiness and prosperity.
Next morning Rabbi Bakshi Doron visited the Republican Jewish
Welfare Organization - Hesed Polina, where he participated in the round
table with the heads of Welfare Service. And after the guest visited "Sohnut"
he flew to Astana to meet Kazakhstani leaders.
