Boris Pilat presented his new historical novel "Herod the
Great" to readers in The Central Library of The Academy of Science.
The author is a bachelor of engineering science, and he has been
interested in history and religion for his whole life. His books both on engineering
and history are pretty famous in many countries.
But he has never presented his books to Almaty Jewish Community
before. Boris Pilat told about his books and presented his point of view on
some questions of ancient history and role of individuality in history. It was
very disputable point of view and it caused a lot of questions.
