On 19 June 2001 there was a professional holiday of all physicians
and nurses - The Day of Medical Workers. Hesed Polina celebrated all volunteers
of Medical Program and the clients.
Today about 208 medical workers (physicians, nurses and pharmaceutics)
are registered with Hesed. Some of them were celebrated on the phone, and 75
people were invited to Hesed to celebrate the holiday.
Alexander Baron the President of "Mitsva" Association
made a speech and Sima Branovich the head of Medical Program told about contribution
every volunteer made to the work of the Medical Department.
The vocal group "Nekhama" performed a few songs and everybody
enjoyed them.
The atmosphere of the holiday was very warm and nobody wanted to
leave it.
Yelena Pritsker volunteer therapist said:" Oh, medicine! There
is no science more disinterested, democratic, wise and noble than it! And life…life
is based on it".
